Notes on the Weather :   A high pressure system will move into the Tasman sea on Friday and direct a mild easterly airflow over Victoria. Conditions will become much warmer on Saturday as winds tending N/NE, though humidity will begin to increase and isolated thundery showers are possible mainly in the west on Saturday.

On Sunday it will be very warm throughout, and a weak low pressure trough will develop from the west with isolated thundery showers, lingering into Monday through all areas bar the far SW of the state. Conditions will become cooler on Monday as the trough moves east and  a cooler SW wind flow becomes established. Another high pressure ridge will move in on Monday and conditions will become fine and sunny from the west. Conditions will warm up on Tuesday and then more on Wednesday, however humidity will again increase ahead of a period of very unsettled weather.

A large scale system will develop towards the end of the week, initially very warm to hot conditions will develop across the state on Wednesday, and by Thursday the airmass will become more humid. As a result showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop across most western areas of the state. On Friday the pattern will be slow moving so unsettled conditions with rain and thunderstorms will continue, with a late change entering the SW of the state at night. Local heavy falls will be possible in this period along the ranges.
