Notes on the Weather :
A low pressure trough is laying across Victoria. An extremely humid airmass is also laying across the state. As a result showers and scattered thunderstorms are developing across most areas of the state. The trough is very slow moving so rain and embedded thunderstorms will persist through Saturday morning and then clear from the west.
A series of weak fronts will move through Victoria during the first half of the week, bringing cool conditions with isolated showers. A ridge of high pressure will move in on Thursday and move eastwards into the Tasman Sea on Friday, with temperatures slowly increasing.
